F 350 4WD Super Duty V8-6.4L DSL Turbo (2008)
All vehicles
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly hoses from the radiator in-tank cooler and the auxiliary cooler.
3. Remove the front fluid cooler tube secondary latches.
4. Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tube assemblies.
5. Disconnect the front cooler tube assembly retainer from the frame rail and remove the front transmission fluid cooler tube assembly.
6. Remove the fluid cooler tube assembly bracket nut.
7. Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
8. Remove the upper fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
9. Remove the charge air cooler (CAC) inlet tube.
10. NOTE: Use a backup wrench to prevent the fittings from turning.
Disconnect the turbocharger oil feed tubes.
11. NOTE: If equipped with dual generators, remove the upper generator. Refer to Alternator.
Install the lifting bracket.
