Locate the fuel filler pipe support bracket. The bracket is attached to the bottom of the pickup box directly above the fuel filler pipe. See Figure 1.

If the vehicle is not equipped with a bracket, perform Fuel Filler Pipe Ground Strap Installation.

If the vehicle is equipped with a bracket, secure the fuel filler pipe to the bracket with a hose clamp as shown in the illustration. Tighten the
clamp to 4.5 Nm (40 lb-in). See Figure 2.

Lower the vehicle.
FUEL FILLER PIPE GROUND STRAP INSTALLATION
1.
Open the fuel filler door and remove the fuel filler pipe screw that is located at the 9 o'clock position. Loosen, but do not remove, the remaining
two (2) screws.

Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
