37. Remove the bolts and partially lower the oil pan.
38. Remove the two bolts and one nut retaining the oil pump screen cover and tube and let them drop into the oil pan.
39. Remove the oil pan and the oil pan gasket from the rear of the engine.
40. CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These
tools cause scratches and gouges, which make leak paths. Use a plastic scraping tool to remove all traces of sealant.
Clean the mating surfaces and thoroughly clean the oil pan.
