3. Remove all of the snap rings.

4. Clamp the special tool in a swivel base vise.

5. CAUTION:  Do not continue to tighten the special tool if the U-joint bottoms out in the yoke or damage will occur to the center bearing shield.

Using the special tool, press the 2 bearing cups out of the opposite side of the driveshaft center yoke.

Alternate the pressure between the U-joints.

6. Slide the universal Joint spider toward the screw side of the special tool. Insert the half moon punch on the exposed spider leg.

7. Using the special tool, press the 2 remaining bearing cups out of the opposite side of the driveshaft center yoke.
