1. Remove the starter. For additional information, refer to Starting System.
All vehicles
2. Remove the transmission.
Vehicles with manual transmission
3. Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate.
All vehicles
4. Remove the bolts and the flexplate or flywheel.

Discard the bolts.
