CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power
steering components can result.

All vehicles 
1. Remove the air cleaner. 
2. Using a suitable suction device, drain the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid return hose.
4. Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid supply hose.

Vehicles with Hydro-Boost(R) 
5. Release the clamp and disconnect the brake booster-to-power steering fluid reservoir return hose.

All vehicles 

6. NOTE: The fluid reservoir bolts have a dry adhesive on the threads. The bolts must not be reused.

Remove the 2 power steering fluid reservoir bolts.

Discard the bolts.

To install, tighten bolt to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill the power steering system.
