Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Service and Repair
Oil Pressure Regulator
Material
Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the oil pressure regulator plug, spring and valve from the oil pump.

Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Inspect the oil pressure regulator components and bore for wear. Install new components as necessary.
Installation
1. NOTE: Install a new O-ring seal on the oil pressure regulator plug.
Apply clean engine oil to the oil pressure regulator plug O-ring seal, spring and valve and install in the oil pump.

Tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
