8. NOTE: To prevent selector lever cable damage, do not apply force to the selector lever cable assembly between the manual control lever and the
selector lever cable bracket.
Disconnect the selector lever cable from the manual control lever.
9. Remove and discard the selector lever cable retaining clip.

Lift the lock tabs on the retaining clip arms to release the clip. Pull the clip and selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket.
10. Remove the cable.
11. Remove the bolts and selector lever cable bracket from the transmission.
