1. NOTE:  Make sure that after an automatic locking retraction (ALR) retractor is installed that the retractor is not in the ALR mode of operation

when installed.

Install the safety belt retractor and pretensioner.

Position the safety belt retractor and pretensioner, aligning the tabs into the sheet metal.

Using the special tool, install the bolt.

2. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the safety belt retractor pretensioner electrical connector.

3. Connect the safety belt retractor pretensioner electrical connector.

4. NOTE:  Prior to installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted.
