Heater Core: Service and Repair
Auxiliary Climate Control
REMOVAL
1. Remove the third row seat.
2. Position aside the RH rear quarter trim panel.
3. Remove the heater core cover.

Remove the 8 screws.

Remove the heater core cover.
4. Remove the heater core from the housing.
5. Remove the heater core from the heater inlet and outlet hoses.

Clamp off the heater inlet and outlet hoses.

Position the constant tension clamps and disconnect the hoses from the heater core.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Lubricate the coolant hoses with MERPOL(R) meeting Ford specification ESE-M99B144-B or plain water only, if needed.
NOTE: Make sure to correctly assemble and seal the air conditioning and heater assembly to allow efficient operation of the auxiliary climate
control system.
2. Top-off the engine cooling system.
