6. WARNING: To avoid personal injury, support the vibration damper during mounting bolt removal. The damper can slide off the nose of
the crankshaft very easily.
Remove the bolts and the crankshaft vibration damper.

Discard the bolts.
Installation
1. NOTE: New bolts must always be used.
Install the crankshaft vibration damper and bolts.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

Tighten the bolts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
^
Tighten the bolts an additional 90 degrees.
2. Install the accessory drive belt.
3. Install the cooling fan.
4. Check the drive belt for correct adjustment.
5. Connect the LH and RH battery ground cables.
