Coverage Identification
^ Unique Customer Satisfaction Program numbers have been created to identify the coverage for each affected component.
^ Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS.
Qualifying Repairs and Procedures
On affected vehicles, dealers are to follow standard diagnostic procedures to determine the cause of diesel engine concerns. The following repairs are
covered by the programs in this bulletin:
^ 09M02 - Turbocharger repairs:
^ Turbocharger assembly - replace.
^ Turbocharger assembly - clean.
^ Turbocharger unison ring - replace.
^ Center Housing Rotating Assembly (CHRA) - replace.
^ VGT solenoid - replace.
^ 59M21 - Fuel injector(s) - replace.
^ 59M22 - EGR valve - replace.
^ 59M23 - A/C compressor - replace.
Diagnosis and repair labor operations may be claimed for a qualifying repair. TSB labor operations may be claimed if applicable. The diagnosis and
repair of concerns that are not related to these repairs will be the vehicle owner's responsibility.
Time and Mileage Limits
Turbocharger, fuel injector and EGR valve repairs made:
^ Before 5 years and 100,000 miles must be claimed to the original 6.0L Diesel Engine Warranty.
^ After 5 years or 100,000 miles and before 6 years and 120,000 miles must be claimed to Customer Satisfaction Program 09M01 (See
Attachment IV).
^ Before 6 years of service and between 120,000 miles and 150,000 miles will be claimed to the appropriate program listed above if the vehicle
qualifies, indicated by OASIS.
A/C compressor repairs made:
^ Before 3 years and 36,000 miles must be claimed to the original Bumper to Bumper warranty.
^ After 3 years or 36,000 miles and before 6 years and 150,000 miles will be claimed to Customer Satisfaction Program 59M23 if the vehicle
qualifies, indicated by OASIS.
Any vehicles that have exceeded these time and mileage limits are not eligible for coverage under these programs.
Prior Approval
Follow current published prior approval guidelines for 6K682 - Turbo Assembly repairs. Run OASIS including a symptom code. Click on Prior
Approval" at the bottom of the OASIS screen. Then select Diesel Parts. Complete and submit the web form.
