3. WARNING: Replace with new bolts and retainers after the third removal.
Disconnect the rear driveshaft from the rear axle.
1. Mark and remove the driveshaft to rear axle bolts.
2. Remove the U-joint retainers.
4. WARNING: Replace with new bolts after the third removal.
Mark and remove the four rear driveshaft to transfer case bolts.
5. Note: Wrap electrical tape around the bearing cups to prevent them from falling off the U-joint spider.
Remove the rear driveshaft.

Compress and separate the rear driveshaft from the rear axle then separate the driveshaft from the transfer case.
Installation
1. WARNING: Replace with new bolts and retainers after the third removal.
