Removal and Installation
All vehicles
WARNING: All safety belt assemblies including retractors, buckles, front seat belt buckle support assemblies (slide bar), shoulder belt
height adjusters (if so equipped) child safety seat tether attachments and attaching hardware should be inspected after any collision. All belt
assemblies should be replaced unless a qualified technician finds the assemblies show no damage and operate properly. Belt assemblies not in
use during a collision should also be inspected and replaced if either damage or improper operation is noted.
1. Fold the second row 40 and 60 percent seat backrest forward.

Remove the safety belt buckle(s) and lap belt assembly from between the seat backrest and cushion.
NOTE: The remaining steps of the procedure are shown with the second row seat removed for clarity.
2. Remove the wing nut and the jack tools.
3. Remove the three bolts and the compartment.
Left side safety belt buckle assembly
