Install the No.2 thrust bearing. See Figure 56.

Install the input shaft into the case. See Figure 57.

NOTE: Alignment pins are used in the case at the 5 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions.
Install Special Tools Transmission Fluid Pump Aligner 307-222, into the case to assist in pump installation. See Figure 58.

Check to make sure the No.1 thrust washer is installed on the pump stator.
