Install Special Tool Torque Converter Retainer 307-346. See Figure 73.

Reinstall the transmission into the vehicle.
Refer to Section 307-01 of the 2005 F Super Duty/Excursion Workshop Repair Manual for instructions. Fill the transmission to specification using
Motorcraft MERCON SP(R) Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid.
