Front Door Hinge: Adjustments

Door Alignment - Front, All and Rear Door, Crew Cab

NOTE: Before carrying out the door alignment, refer to Striker Pre-Adjustment Inspection.

1. Remove the door striker.

2. NOTE: Driver door shown, passenger door and rear doors on Crew Cab similar.

Loosen the hinge bolts on the body only enough to allow for slight door movement.

3. Close and adjust the door until door gaps are uniform and the door is correctly aligned with bodylines on the adjacent panels.

4. Carefully open the door and tighten the bolts.

Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

5. Reinstall and adjust the door striker. For additional information, refer to Striker Adjustment  See: Adjustments/Striker Adjustment.

6. Check the door for correct operation and alignment.
