F 550 4WD Super Duty V10-6.8L (2009)
front outboard passenger safety belt systems (including retractors, buckles and height adjusters) must be installed. Failure to install new safety belt
systems increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
WARNING: Never probe the electrical connectors on safety belt buckle/retractor pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors. Failure to
follow this instruction may result in the accidental deployment of the safety belt pretensioners or adaptive load limiting retractors, which
increases the risk of serious personal injury or death.
NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is
normal operation and does not indicate a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) fault.
NOTE: The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
1. Depower the SRS. For additional information, refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and
Repowering in the General Procedures portion of Air Bag Systems.
2. Remove the B-pillar trim panel.
3. Disconnect the pretensioner electrical connector and separate from the B-pillar.

and remove the safety belt retractor and pretensioner assembly.
-
For RH side, rotate the safety belt retractor and pretensioner counterclockwise, to disengage the upper locator tab from the B-pillar sheet
