Window Regulator and Motor - Rear Door

Removal and Installation

With power windows

1. Remove the window control switch. For additional information, refer to Window Control Switch  See: Power Window Switch/Service and Repair.

All vehicles

2. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.

3. NOTE: Do not remove the window glass from the door.

Temporarily install the window switch or the window crank and lower the window to access the glass clamp nuts and remove the nuts.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. Tape the window glass in the full UP position.

5. Disconnect the window motor electrical connector (power windows only).

6. Loosen the nuts and pull the rear door window regulator from the mounting position.

To install, tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).

7. Remove the rear door window regulator from the door.

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
