F 550 4WD Super Duty V8-6.4L DSL Turbo (2008)
3. Relieve the vacuum in the brake booster by pressing and releasing the brake pedal a minimum of 5 times with the engine not running.
4. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch.
5. If equipped, disconnect the vapor management valve electrical connector, detach the valve from the bracket and position aside.
6. Remove the 2 brake master cylinder nuts and position the master cylinder aside.

To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
7. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the booster.
8. If equipped, disconnect the power distribution auxiliary relay box and position it aside.
9. Remove the brake pedal cotter pin cover and the brake pedal cotter pin.
10. Position the brake pedal position (BPP) switch and the brake booster push rod off the brake pedal pin.
11. Remove the 4 brake booster-to-pedal bracket nuts.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
12. Remove the brake booster.
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
