4. Remove the secondary generator. For additional information, refer to Alternator.
Vehicles with brake vacuum pump (belt driven)
5. Remove the brake vacuum pump.
All vehicles
6. Disconnect the windshield washer hose.
7. Disconnect the underhood light electrical connector and pin-type retainers. Position the wiring aside.
8. NOTE: Mark the location of the hinges prior to removing the hood.
With the help of an assistant, disconnect the hood lift rods. Remove the bolts and the hood.
9. Disconnect the crankcase vent oil separator drain tube.
