Push Rod: Service and Repair
Rocker Arm Cover, Rocker Arm and Push Rod
Removal
1. Remove the valve cover.
2. NOTE: Both the left and right rocker arms and push rods are removed the same way. Only the left side is shown.
Remove the 16 rocker arm bolts, the eight rocker arm assemblies, and the push rods.
3. NOTE: Be careful when removing the rocker arm snap retaining clip. Do not lose the rocker arm steel ball.
Remove the snap retaining clip.
4. Remove the rocker arm pedestal from the rocker arm.
5. Remove the steel ball from the rocker arm.
