Valve Clearance: Adjustments
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Remove the valve cover.

3. Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the No. 1 cylinder reaches Top Dead Center (TDC) on compression.

4. Adjust the following valve clearances: Intake, Number 1 and 2 intake, and number 1 and 3 exhaust.
a. Intake: 0.30 mm (0.012 in).
b. Exhaust: 0.30 mm (0.012 in).
To adjust valves, loosen locknut on adjusting screw, then position specified feeler gauge between valve stem and adjusting screw. Turn adjusting
screw until slight drag is felt at feeler gauge, then tighten locknut.
5. Turn crankshaft one full turn so that the piston of the No. 4 cylinder is at TDC on compression, and adjust the clearances of the remaining valves.
6. Reinstall rocker cover using new gasket.
