HORN - GOES OFF BY ITSELF DURING HIGH

ISSUE:

A horn that goes off by itself when the vehicle is parked, with windows closed, during high ambient temperatures, may be caused by the horn
pad and/or horn switch contacts expanding from the heat.

ACTION:

To correct this, adjust the power (+) side of the horn switch contact using the following service procedure.

Remove the two (2) screws at back of steering wheel spokes that hold horn pad, Figure 6.
