ISSUE:
Water leaking into the passenger compartment between the rear quarter window glass and weatherstrip during heavy or extended
periods of rain may be caused by the weatherstrip design.
ACTION:
To correct this, install a new design weatherstrip which has better sealing qualities. Refer to the following service procedure.

1.
Remove one (1) screw that holds latch assembly to glass, Figure 3.
2.
Remove two (2) hinge covers by lightly prying with a flat blade screwdriver, Figure 3.
3.
Support glass and remove two (2) screws that hold hinge assembly to glass.
4.
Remove glass.
5.
Remove weatherstrip assembly.
