Seat - Does Not Easily Move Full Travel Fore and Aft

ISSUE:
The front passenger seat may not easily move full travel fore-aft because the seat tracks bind. The seat should move at least 6 inches (150
mm) when the seat back recline lever is released.
ACTION:
Inspect and adjust the seat tracks. Refer to the following procedure for service details.

Inspect the seat tracks for the following items which might restrict seat position adjustment.

Protective seat cover plastic

Any other foreign material
Remove such material. Move the seat fore-aft a number of times and check seat movement again. If the seat does not easily move 6 inches (150 mm)
when the seat back recline lever is released, proceed with step 2.

Loosen the right front seat track to floor pan attaching bolt five turns, Figure 1.
3.
Slide the seat to the full forward and full rear positions three times to equalize the tracks.
4.
Tighten the bolt to 28-38 lb-ft (38-51 N-m) using a torque wrench. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH.
