Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
The engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, Fig. 5, detects the temperature of engine coolant and supplies the information to the ECA. The ECA
uses this to control air/fuel ratio, EGR flow and the shift indicator light. The ECT sensor is threaded into the intake manifold assembly.
