Crankshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair

1.

Remove timing belt as outlined previously.

2.

Position shift lever in 4th gear, then apply parking brake.

3.

Remove crankshaft sprocket retaining bolt, then the sprocket and key.

4.

Using suitable tool, pry old seal from oil pump assembly.

5.

Clean seal bore, then press in new seal using suitable tool, Fig. 16.

6.

Reinstall key and sprocket onto crankshaft.

7.

Coat sprocket retaining bolt threads with non-hardening type sealer, then install bolt.

8.

Reinstall timing belt.
