Align the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets with the marks on the cylinder head and oil pump housing. Refer to Figure 3.
18.
Install the timing belt and loosen the timing belt tensioner bolt. The belt tensioner will slide back to the right. Tighten the timing belt tensioner bolt
to 14-19 lb.ft. (19-26 N-m).

Install the new gasket on the lower timing belt cover.

Install the upper and lower timing belt covers. Torque the attaching bolts to 69-95 lb.in. (8-11 N-m). For the upper timing belt cover torque
sequence, refer to Figure 6.
21.
Install the timing belt guide plate and crankshaft pulley(s).
22.
Install the front engine mount, right inner fender panel and right front wheel. Remove the car from the jack stands.
23.
Re-install the water pump pulley.
24.
Re-install all of the accessory drive belts.
NOTE:
DO NOT START THE CAR UNTIL THE SILICONE SEALER HAS DRIED A MINIMUM OF 1 HOUR.
25.
Raise the vehicle and drain the oil from the oil pan.
26.
Remove the oil pan.
27.
Clean all gasket surfaces and replace the oil pan with the new level oil pan (E9GZ-6675-A).
