1989 - 1991 EFI Festiva: Set the crankshaft to TDC timing mark (yellow) on the crankshaft pulley with the white pointer on the lower timing
belt cover. Refer to Figure 2.

Remove the upper timing belt cover.

Check the alignment of the camshaft timing marks, Figure 3. If the camshaft timing marks are not near the index marks on the cylinder head, rotate
the crankshaft one complete revolution to TDC and check the alignment of the camshaft timing marks. If the timing marks do not line up, proceed
with step 4. If the camshaft timing is correct, refer to the Engine or Emissions Diagnostics Section of the appropriate Car Shop Manual.
4.
Remove all accessory drive belts.
5.
Remove the water pump pulley.
