Reaching through the glove box opening, disconnect recirc/fresh air door cable at the door operating lever, Fig. 34.

Disconnect mode selector cable at function control lever, Fig. 35.

Disconnect temperature control cable from control lever, Fig. 36.

Pull control assembly away from instrument panel, then disconnect blower motor, illumination lamp and lighter wiring connectors.
