Install the new two piece guide plate on the crankshaft, Figure 2.

NOTE:

THE LARGE PORTION OF THE TWO PIECE GUIDE PLATE MUST BE INSTALLED AGAINST THE TIMING BELT PULLEY.

Reinstall the upper and lower timing covers. Refer to the Tracer Shop Manual, Section 21-05-40 or the 1989 Festiva Shop Manual, Section
21-05-49 for service details.

9.

Install the crankshaft pulley on the crankshaft. Tighten the crankshaft pulley to a torque of 10-14 ft.lbs. (12-17 N-m).

NOTE:

ON FESTIVAS, APPLY A BEAD OF RTV SILICONE SEALER, (E3AZ-19562-A) ON THE UPPER AND LOWER TIMING BELT
COVERS AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 3.
