Distributor Advance Unit: Service and Repair

Vacuum Advance

Removal

1.

Remove the distributor cap, rotor, and dust cover.

2.

Disconnect the two vacuum hoses from the two chamber nipples.

Remove the C-clip while securing the vacuum advance link to the stator plate.

4.

Remove two screws attaching the vacuum advance to the distributor housing. Unhook the link and remove the vacuum advance.
