Basic Control-Open Loop
During basic operation, the ECA receives signals from the vane airflow (VAF) meter (intake air amount) and ignition coil (engine speed). It uses this
information to calculate how much fuel is required to provide the best fuel economy, engine performance, and emission control. The ECA then energizes
the fuel injectors, which supply the correct amount of fuel to each cylinder.
