Seat Belt: Service and Repair
Safety Belts, Rear
REMOVAL
1. Remove the seat belt anchor bolts and washers from the right and left rear shock towers.
2. Remove the right and left seat belt retractor belt assemblies.
3. Remove the anchor bolts securing the center belts and buckles to the floorpan.
4. Remove the center belt assemblies.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the buckles or retractors.
INSTALLATION
1. Replace right and left seat belt retractor and belt assemblies.
2. Secure the right and left seat belt retractor and belt assemblies to the shock tower bases with the anchor bolts and washers.
3. Replace the center seat belt assemblies.
4. Secure the center seat belt assemblies to the floorpan with the anchor bolts and washers.
5. Tighten the anchor bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 ft lbs).
