6.

Verify proper seat belt buckle function by inserting the belt tongue into the buckle assembly and listening for the "click" sound. Tug on the belt
webbing to verify that the buckle is properly latched, then depress the release button to disengage. Do this several times to verify proper function.

Repeat steps 1 through 6 on other seat belt buckle. Guides are to be installed in pairs. DO NOT release a vehicle with a guide on only one front
seat belt buckle.

Front Seat Belt Buckle Replacement
Only required if inspection reveals cracked or broken release button(s) or buckles do not operate properly.

NOTE:  

These buckle installation instructions supersede those found in the buckle replacement parts kits.

 
If inspection reveals that one or both front seat belt release buttons are cracked or broken, or do not operate properly, replace BOTH buckle assemblies.
DO NOT replace the entire seat belt assembly. Buckle assemblies are available as follows:

Passive Belt System

1.

Position the seat to gain access to the buckle-to-bracket retaining bolt.
