Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the high-pressure switch electrical connector.

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make certain that the valve of the high pressure switch is completely closed after removal of the high pressure switch, to prevent refrigerant from escaping. Failure to observe this instruction can lead to injury.
    Remove the high pressure switch.
    • Discard the O-rings.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install new O-rings on the high pressure switch.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Coat the high pressure switch O-rings with clean refrigerant oil before installation.
    Reinstall the components in reverse order.
