Push the black plastic vacuum line 1/4" (6.3 mm) into the elbow connector at the intake manifold end of the line. (Figure 2). This will minimize
the potential for any moisture that may be present from entering the line.

Install MAP line.

Using the scan tool, monitor the MAP voltage at key on engine off (KOEO) and at key on engine running (KOER). The MAP voltages should NOT
match. If they do, this indicates the black plastic vacuum line has been inserted beyond the 1/4" (6.3 mm) specified and has bottomed against the
black rubber elbow connector. The vacuum line must then be backed out slightly to restore vacuum flow.
