Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
DOOR LOCK CYLINDER
Removal and Installation
NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair
package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the current key code of the vehicle.
1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Position the watershield aside.
3. If equipped, disconnect the front door disarm switch electrical connector.
4. If equipped, release the front door disarm switch harness from the door panel.
5. Disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod from the door lock cylinder.
6. Remove the exterior door handle cap nut.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
7. Release the tab and remove the door lock cylinder.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
