Roof Opening Panel Motor Initialization
ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION
CAUTION: Be sure there are no obstructions in the path of the roof opening panel glass before attempting to initialize the roof opening panel
motor.
NOTE:
-
A new roof opening panel motor will only tilt and must be initialized.

The roof opening panel motor must be initialized when repairs are carried out on any part of the roof opening panel system, including: whenever
the roof opening panel motor has been removed from the roof opening panel system, the roof opening panel glass has been removed from the roof
opening panel system, the roof opening panel assembly has been removed from the vehicle, a new roof opening panel motor has been installed, a
new roof opening panel glass has been installed, or a new roof opening panel assembly has been installed.
1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position. For a new roof opening panel motor, skip to Step 3.
2. For an existing roof opening panel motor, open the roof opening panel glass to the full TILT position.
3. For a new roof opening panel motor, hold the switch in the TILT position until the roof opening panel glass moves to the full-tilt position, then
continue to hold the switch until the roof opening panel glass moves past full tilt, then to full tilt.
For an existing motor, press and hold the switch in the TILT position (for approximately 10 seconds) until the roof opening panel glass moves past
full tilt, then to full tilt, then quickly release the switch.
4. NOTE:

After pressing and holding the switch to the TILT position in this step, it will take approximately 3 seconds for the roof opening opening panel
to begin close/open/close (initialization) movements.

If the switch is released before close/open/close (initialization) movements are complete, go back to Step 3.
Press and hold the switch to the TILT position until after the roof opening panel carries out close/open/close (initialization) movements.
5. Release the switch and test the system for normal operation by carrying out one-touch open, one-touch close, manual open, manual close and tilt
operations.
