REPAIR circuit RAT08 (WH) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.

AE8 CHECK THE TBC MODULE OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Measure the resistance between the TBC module C2142-3, circuit CAT19 (BU), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
GO to AE9.
No
REPAIR circuit CAT19 (BU) for a short to ground. TEST the system for normal operation.

AE9 CHECK THE TBC MODULE OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Connect: Negative Battery Cable.

Connect a fused jumper wire between the TBC module C2142-1, circuit CAT18 (YE/OG), harness side and the TBC module C2142-3, circuit
CAT19 (BU), harness side.

Measure the voltage between the trailer tow C4099-3, circuit CAT19 (BU), harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
REMOVE the jumper wire. INSTALL a new TBC module. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REMOVE the jumper wire. REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
