Vehicles with anti-lock brakes 

15. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensors.

All vehicles 

16. Remove the brake drum and wheel hub assemblies.

17. Detach the parking brake cable guide from the tie bar.

18. Disconnect the parking brake cable.
19. Pull the parking brake cable and guide through the tie bar.
20. Remove the parking brake cable.

Release the actuating lever.

Detach the cable.
