Throttle Body: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle plate have a special coating applied during manufacture which should
not be removed.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the speed control cable (if equipped).
1. Disconnect the inner cable from the throttle body.
2. Detach the speed control cable from the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
1. Remove the retaining clip and disconnect the inner cable from the throttle body.
2. Rotate the outer cable.
3. Detach the accelerator cable from the throttle body.
4. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
