Focus L4-2.0L SOHC VIN P (2000)
1.
Remove the four (4) speed control amplifier retaining screws. See Figure 3.

Carefully remove the amplifier from the speed control servo and inspect the servo for rust and corrosion.

If rust or corrosion is present, replace the servo and the cable. To install the new cable onto the new servo, refer to Speed Control Cable
Replacement Step 3.

Replace only the cable if rust and corrosion are NOT present. Refer to Speed Control Cable Replacement.
CAUTION:
DO NOT use power tools to install the speed control amplifier retaining screws. Hand-tighten screws only.
5.
Carefully install the amplifier to the servo. Install the amplifier retaining screws and tighten by hand only. See Figure 4.
