Attachment III - Technical Information
1.
Remove the degas bottle retainer screw. See Figure 1.
2.
Disengage the retaining clip at the rear of the degas bottle while lifting and positioning the bottle out of the way. See Figure 2.
3.
Lift and position the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way.
CAUTION
Use an appropriate size wood block on top of the jack to prevent damaging the oil pan. A 2 x 4 or 4 x 6 piece of wood works best. On 2.0L SPI
engines, be sure the wood block does not contact the oil drain spout. Cut a notch in the wood block, if necessary, to avoid damaging the oil pan.
4.
Position the jack with the wood block under the engine oil pan and raise the jack just enough to support the engine during mount replacement.
