NOISE -"FLUTTERING" FROM PCV VALVE WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF - VEHICLES BUILT 9/2/1999 THROUGH 10/1/1999

FORD: 
2000 FOCUS

ISSUE
There may be a "fluttering" noise from the PCV valve after engine shutdown on some vehicles. This may be caused by the PCV valve.

ACTION
Replace the PCV valve and hose. The revised PCV valve and hose should reduce the possibility of noise. Refer to the following Service Procedure for
details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.

Remove the PCV hose from PCV valve and intake fitting.

2.

Unscrew and remove old PCV valve.

3.

Install new PCV Valve (YS4Z-6A666-AA).

4.

Install new PCV Hose (YS4Z-6758-BA) onto PCV valve and intake fitting.
