4. Install the steering column shrouds.

Install the screws.

Lock the steering column.

5. Install the instrument panel lower panel.

Engage the retaining clip.

Install the screws.

6. Centralize the air bag sliding contact.

Turn the air bag sliding contact in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction until a resistance is felt (approximately 2.5 turns from the central
position).

Turn the air bag sliding contact CLOCKWISE 2.5 turns until the arrow marked on the center of the sliding contact aligns with the raised "V'
section at the 12 o'clock position on the outer cover of the sliding contact. The sliding contact is now centralized.

WARNING:  IF IN DOUBT WHEN CENTRALIZING THE AIR BAG SLIDING CONTACT, REPEAT THE CENTRALIZING
PROCEDURE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY CAUSE PREMATURE COMPONENT FAILURE,
PREVENTING AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, AND MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

CAUTION:  Make sure the road wheels are in the straight ahead position. 

7. Install the steering wheel. 

CAUTION:  If there is any break between centralizing the sliding contact and installing the steering wheel, or the vehicle is left unattended by the
technician, the centralizing procedure MUST be repeated.
