Focus L4-2.0L SOHC VIN P (2000)
Remove the left-hand front halfshaft from the transaxle and secure it.
5. Remove the left-hand front halfshaft oil seal.
Installation
1. Install the left-hand front halfshaft oil seal.
CAUTION:

The inner joint must not bend more than 18 degrees, the outer joint more than 45 degrees.

Use the installation sleeve (supplied with every new oil seal) to protect the oil seal when inserting the front halfshaft.
2. NOTE: Make sure the retaining ring is securely in position.
Install the left-hand front halfshaft in the transmission together with new retaining ring.
