Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
Left-hand drive vehicles
  1. Detach the instrument panel lower panel.

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower panel.
    • Disconnect the standard corporate protocol (SCP) and diagnostic link connector (DLC) electrical connectors.
Right-hand drive vehicles
  1. Remove the glove box.

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel.
All vehicles
  1. Disconnect the AFCM electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the AFCM.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
