Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

Remove the ignition coil cover.

Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.

Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).

Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.

Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).

Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness electrical connectors.

Remove the spark plug cover.

Disconnect the variable camshaft timing (VCT) solenoid valve electrical connector.

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.

Lower the vehicle.

Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector (intake manifold shown removed for clarity).

Disconnect the intake manifold vacuum control electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).

Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.

Detach the fuel charging wiring harness clip from the ignition coil bracket.

Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

Remove the fuel charging wiring harness.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
